Who we are

This policy covers the Fixlens: GPS Map Camera app for Android (package com.technatch.gps_map_camera) and this website, fixlens.in. Both are run by TechNatch Labs, a sole proprietorship registered in India ("we", "us"). Services that receive data from the app

  • Address lookup: your phone's built-in geocoder (Google on most Android phones) and the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service receive coordinates to return an address.
  • Map images: OpenStreetMap and Esri ArcGIS map servers receive the map area being shown.
  • Weather: Open-Meteo receives coordinates to return the temperature and conditions shown on detailed stamps.
  • Google Play: billing, purchase restore, in-app review and app updates.

These services process requests under their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.

This website

fixlens.in sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. Fonts and images are served from this website, not from third parties. If you switch between light and dark themes, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks.

How long we keep data

We do not hold your photos, location or stamp details on our servers, so there is nothing for us to keep. Data stored on your phone stays until you delete the photos, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. If you email us, we keep the conversation for as long as needed to help you and then delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Turn off camera or location access at any time in Android Settings, then Apps, then Fixlens, then Permissions.
  • Delete your data by deleting the photos, clearing app storage or uninstalling the app.
  • Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us for information about your personal data, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent, nominate someone to act for you and raise a grievance. Write to us at the address below.

Children

Fixlens is a work tool and is not meant for children under 18. We do not knowingly process children's personal data.

Security

The app talks to online services over encrypted HTTPS connections. Because your photos and details stay on your phone, protect your phone with a screen lock.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app or website handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
